Description

Your wine tasting tour begins with a pick-up at Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel by an air-conditioned minivan. Enjoy a drive to the Monor wine region, just a half hour outside Budapest. On the way to us you’ll learn about Hungary’s fascinating history and hear about the country’s long and rich wine tradition. After arriving in Monor town, you’ll have a little walk through and discover the unique Monor Cellar village. The traditional village has around a 1000 small cellars. You will see small local family owned wineries producing around 10,000 to 20,000 bottles of wine each year, mostly sold in selected restaurants and from their cellars. At the end of the tour, you will arrive to our winery 'Fecske Pince'. You will be taken down to our 100 years old cellar -which is the biggest in Monor- and you will have a chance to taste 6 different wines introduced by the winemaker. After the wine tasting, you will be seated and served by the family with a freshly made 2 course meal and perhaps accompanied by some wine with your food. You will will be given options After the tour and meal, you’ll be transferred back to you meeting point in Budapest.
